Link to the Past ("Triforce of the Gods in Japan) debuted on the SNES in the early 1990's, and was a critical success. Viewed by many as one of the greatest games in history, Link to the Past is still enjoyed by gamers today. In 2002, LttP was rereleased on the GBA with some minor updates and the Four Swords sidequest game, the first multiplayer Zelda experience.
Many, many years ago, the Evil King Ganon obtained the Triforce, transforming the Sacred Realm into his own personal twisted dimension of evil. Luckily, the gates to the Sacred Realm were sealed off by the seven sages. But now, the descendents of the sages are disappearing, and the seal on the Sacred Realm is weakening! Only Link can save Hyrule!
